Right of Withdrawal, Returns, and Exchanges

We value our customers and respect your rights under Norwegian consumer protection law. This policy explains your statutory right of withdrawal, our return and exchange procedures, and how we handle damaged, defective, or incorrect products.

14-Day Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (Angrerettloven), you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days from the day you, or a person designated by you, receives the product.

You do not need to provide a reason for exercising your statutory right of withdrawal.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us within the applicable 14-day withdrawal period. After notifying us, the product must be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you notified us of your decision to withdraw.

Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to certain products or circumstances provided for by Norwegian law, including:

- products made to order or personalised according to the buyer's specifications;

- sealed products which, for health or hygiene reasons, are not suitable for return once the seal has been broken.

Products must be returned properly packaged.

You may handle the product to the extent necessary to determine its nature, characteristics, and functionality. If the product has been handled beyond what is necessary for this purpose, you may be responsible for any reduction in the product's value resulting from such handling.

Return Shipping Costs

When exercising the statutory right of withdrawal (angrerett), the buyer is responsible for the direct costs of returning the product.

This is in accordance with the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (Angrerettloven) § 25. The consumer is responsible for the direct costs of returning the goods when exercising the right of withdrawal, provided that the consumer has been informed of this obligation in advance.

We inform customers of their responsibility for return costs before the purchase, in accordance with Angrerettloven § 8 (1)(i).

Return shipping costs depend on the size and weight of the parcel. We will provide the applicable return cost, return instructions, and a return shipping label where applicable.

The cost of return shipping will be deducted from the refund when the return is processed through our return service.

For returns that are not made under the statutory right of withdrawal, the applicable return conditions and costs will be communicated to the customer before the return is arranged.

Refunds

Refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable Norwegian consumer law.

When exercising the right of withdrawal, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned product or until you have provided evidence that the product has been returned, whichever occurs first.

Once the returned product has been received and processed, the refund will be made to the original payment method.

Any lawful deduction for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the product may be made in accordance with the Right of Withdrawal Act.

Exchanges

Exchange is an optional service offered by Forest Kids Norway and does not replace or limit your statutory right of withdrawal or your statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming products.

If you wish to exchange a product because it does not meet your personal preferences, you may request an exchange for another product from our collection, subject to availability.

For exchanges based on personal preference, the buyer is responsible for the applicable return and reshipping costs.

Exchanges are processed after the returned product has been received and inspected.

If the product is defective, incorrect, or otherwise subject to a valid complaint under applicable consumer law, the exchange will be handled in accordance with your statutory rights and the necessary costs will be covered by Forest Kids Norway.

Sale Items and Final Sale

Products purchased on sale are subject to the same statutory consumer rights as products purchased at the regular price.

A sale or promotional price does not remove or limit your statutory right of withdrawal or your statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming products.

Any voluntary return or exchange conditions that apply specifically to promotional or final-sale products will not affect your statutory rights under Norwegian law.

Damages During Delivery

Please inspect the package and, where possible, the product upon delivery.

If the outer packaging is visibly damaged, please check the product for any damage before accepting the delivery. If the product has been damaged during transport, please document the damage with photographs and report it to the carrier at the time of delivery.

Where possible, please ask the carrier to register the damage or add a remark to the delivery record.

Please also send us photographs of the damaged packaging and the product as soon as possible.

This documentation is important because we may need to submit a claim to the carrier and provide evidence that the damage occurred during transport.

Failure to document visible transport damage at the time of delivery may affect our ability to claim compensation from the carrier. However, this does not limit your statutory consumer rights in relation to defective or non-conforming products under applicable Norwegian consumer law.

Defects, Missing Components, or Incorrect Items

If the product itself is defective, does not conform to the agreement or product description, is missing components, or you have received an incorrect item, please contact us as soon as you discover the issue.

Please provide photographs where relevant so that we can assess the issue and assist you as quickly as possible.

Statutory rights relating to defects and non-conforming products are not limited by the transport-damage reporting procedure described above.

Natural Materials and Product Appearance

Our products are made from natural wood and/or plywood. Natural materials may vary in colour, tone, grain, and texture.

Please note that:

- the actual colour of a product may vary slightly from the colour shown in photographs due to lighting conditions, photography, image processing, and differences between individual screens and devices;

- products made from untreated or unpainted wood may vary in tone between different production batches;

- product photographs may show products from previous production batches with naturally different wood tones;

- natural wood may vary in colour depending on the raw material;

- natural wood may undergo gradual changes in colour over time, including while stored or packaged.

These minor variations are inherent characteristics of natural wood and do not, by themselves, constitute a defect, provided that the product otherwise conforms to the agreement and the information provided on our website.

Colour Variations

Due to the natural variations in wood, as well as differences in lighting, photography, and individual screen settings, the actual colour and grain of the product may vary slightly from the appearance shown in photographs on our website.

Minor variations in colour, tone, and wood grain that are consistent with the natural characteristics of the material do not constitute a defect.

If a product is materially different in colour or appearance from what was agreed or represented, this may constitute a defect under applicable Norwegian consumer law. In such cases, the matter will be handled as a complaint (reklamasjon) rather than as an ordinary return under the right of withdrawal.

Returns Due to Personal Preference

If you exercise your statutory right of withdrawal because you have changed your mind, do not like the colour, or for another reason unrelated to a defect, incorrect item, or other non-conformity, the return is treated as an ordinary withdrawal (angrerett).

In such cases, the buyer is responsible for the direct costs of returning the product, as described above.

If you believe that the product is materially different from what was represented on our website, please contact us and explain the issue. Such cases may instead be assessed as a complaint under applicable consumer law.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned where an applicable statutory exception applies:

- perishable goods, such as food, flowers, or plants;

- custom-made or personalised products;

- sealed products that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once the seal has been broken;

- other products or circumstances for which the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply under Norwegian law.

Gift cards and products marked as final sale may be subject to our voluntary return and exchange restrictions, but such restrictions do not affect statutory consumer rights.
